BAKERO - The Future is Manifold
 

Have you noticed those special examples of coleoptera?

If not, go back to Christian Tagliavini’s «Flora» series and spot them. They are part of the pictures, but for the first time also real. Not entomologically real, but artistically genuine.

 

They are an ultra-limited edition of tangible, three-dimensional sculptures. Unique ex-samples for an extended sensory experience. Each one of them is a «Bakero» and it’s an ingenious assemblage inspired from nature, just like the botanic elements featured in «Flora» series.

 

Coleoptera are one of the most manifold, resilient, diversified orders of insects. Their adaptability to adverse environments is key to their evolutionary success and global diffusion. A «Bakero» is pure invention: an artist’s toy, an artifact, a bridge between photography and plastic arts, a messenger of the future, a numbered collection piece in a precious box.
